JP was born September 29, 1937 in Golden Meadow, Louisiana, to Jack and Emma Encalade. JP graduated from Golden Meadow High School in 1956. He moved to New Orleans, Louisiana and graduated from Draughon Business School on 1957. He moved to Carrabelle, Florida where he married Laverne Carroll in 1961. JP served in the United States Air Force from 1960 thru 1964. He was in the construction business most of his life, most recently with Couch USA. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Laverne Encalade; daughter Laurie Williams and husband Brian; daughter Jan Cook and husband Bobby and JP's granddaughter, Jolie. JP is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Emma Encalade, and four sibling; Harold Encalade,Leroy Encalade, Rena Encalade and Bernice Carroll.
