She is survived by her daughter, Sue B. Boyd and her husband Joe of Tallahassee.
Mrs. Bugg was a native and lifelong resident of Nashville, Tennessee, until moving to Tallahassee nine years ago to be near her daughter. She retired after 40 years with General Shoes, now Genesco and one of it's divisions, Cole Haan. As a lifelong Democrat, one of her duties at Cole Haan she was most proud of was to inspect the shoes made for the President, including shoes worn by Presidents Kennedy and Johnson.
One of the original residents of Heritage Oaks, she was an active participant in the activities and religious services there. She was also a member of Killearn United Methodist Church. Hardworking, humble and deeply religious, above all else, her proudest achievement was her daughter.
Other survivors include two grandsons, Rob Boyd of Tallahassee and Jonathan Boyd of Largo, Florida; and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving is Maggie the cat.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Rick Damron and his staff and the management and staff of Home Instead, for the care and consideration given to Mrs. Bugg, as well as the staff Heritage Oaks for helping her establish her home in Tallahassee
.
Other Services will be held: To celebrate her life, an ice cream social is planned later, at Heritage Oaks.
