Born October 17, 1946 in Tallahassee to the late Dennis E. and Theodora Christie, she graduated from both Leon High School and Chipola College in Marianna. Miss Christie served the Vice-Principal of Winston Churchill High School in Potomac, Maryland for 32 years, and spent many summers guiding and teaching disabled teenagers in the Montgomery County School Work Program. She was an avid player of scabble and bingo. She was also very organized and artistic, as her talents showed in cross-stich, ceramics and her paintings. Her generosity and kindness, especially to children will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include two sisters, Constance Pavlides and her husband John and Penelope Bowdren; one brother, E. Dennis Christie and his wife Katherine; as well as four nephews, three nieces, four great-nieces, two great-nephews and many friends.
Miss Christie was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, James Bowdren.
