A native of Chicago, Dottie had lived in Tallahassee for the past 45 years. She prepared plat maps for First American Title Co. and she and her former husband operated the Tallahassee Drive-In at Four Points. She was a catholic.
Survivors include two children, Robert Townsend(Irene) of Tallahassee; and Lance Townsend(Patricia) of Pearl, Mississippi; a son-in-law, Lawrence C. Snodgrass of Tallahassee; nine grandchildren, Judy Johnson(Charles) of Tallahassee; Ronnie Brown of Calhoun, GA; Robert Townsend, II(Danielle) of Yuma, AZ; Vicki Carr McFadden(Shawn) of Tallahassee; Kelli Osborne(Christopher) of Tallahassee; Todd N. Townsend of Pearl, Mississippi; Joey Prohaska of Jacksonville; Britney Brown of Tallahassee; and Misty Ross(Bobby Lee) of Tallahassee; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two children, Ron Prohaska and Gail Snodgrass Dickie.
