Doug was a native of Savannah, Georgia and spent 47 years in the propane business, and was a veteran of the United States Army. He loved gardenbing, the Florida Gators and special times spent with his beloved grandson, Nicholas. He was a well known and loved member of the community and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his daughter Cindy Chambers; his grandson Nicholas Sparks; his step-daughter Amy Kelly; six sisters; three brothers; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Other Services will be held: Following the service a reception for family and friends will be held at 1712 West Page Road in Woodville.
