She was a native of Blount County, Alabama and moved to Florida in 1947. She retired from the the State of Florida Department of Motor Vehicles in 1993 and was a faithful member of Soul's Port United Pentecostal Church for more than 35 years. Her chldren are Doris Elizabeth Newsome(Walker) of Savannah, GA., William Edward Cooper(Sharon) of Montgomery, TX., Phillip Leon Cooper(Marrell) of Tallahassee, FL. and Phyllis Lynn Eidson(Paul) of Monticello, FL. She had 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
