A native of Maryland, Mr. Boothe moved to Tallahassee from Deland in 1971. He was a graduate of Stetson University and Nova Law School. He previously served as an Assistant States Attorney, and served as Chief Prosecutor for Wakulla County.

He is survived by his wife Vanessa Boothe of Tallahassee; three children, Vincent and Rebecca Boothe, both of Tallahassee and Danielle Boothe of Tampa; and two brothers, Dean A. Boothe of Titusville and Daniel U. Boothe, Jr. of Fayetteville, Ark.
