A native of Martins Ferry, Ohio, Mrs. Brim had been a resident of Tallahassee since 1960. Earlier she was an advertising sales executive in radio and television and was the first female television advertising sales person in the Ohio Valley. She was a former volunteer at the LeMoyne Arts Center and was a longtime member of Faith Presbyterian Church. She and her late husband Rod Brim were very active members of Capital City Country Club and Florida State University Golden Chief's.

Survivors include her daughter Diane Slaughter and her husband Bernie Kuhn of Tallahassee; two step-sons Barry Brim of Shell Point and Rod Brim, Jr. and his wife Donna of Marietta, GA; eight grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
