She is survived by her husband Ronald Borders.

Mrs. Borders was a native of Osborne, Kansas and moved to Tallahassee from Orlando in 2004.

Other survivors include four children Brian Clark of Cretview, Thomas J. Clark of Apopka, Ron Borders, Jr. of Tampa and Audrey Borders, also of Tampa; a brother John Carlin of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death in 1988 by a son Jon Borders.
