Clyde Walton “Bill” Cobb was born October 12, 1943 to inauspicious beginnings in Hosford, Florida, though his colorful life would take him around the world. Bill's father was Clyde Cobb and his mother was Irene Halstead. He was raised with his family in the town of Jay, Florida. From his earliest years, he is remembered for his outgoing, charming personality. He was also universally known for his love and devotion to those he cared about. While he traveled throughout the world, favoring the Caribbean, he always considered the turquoise waters of the Lower Keys home. He once stated that “he had a Caribbean soul he could barely control,” and he meant it.

Cobb was always the entrepreneur, a hard working and enterprising man who worked tirelessly towards success. On April 10, 1985, he married the love of his life, Diana Villarreal, and for the past 25 years they have been devoted to one another. Together they settled back into Bill's hometown of Hosford and built a successful natural spring water company. He will always be remembered for his spiritual, loving, friendly nature. He would gladly give the shirt off his back to any stranger; as well as his handsome and charming smile. He never settled for anything less than the best and fought his cancer and illness with unparalleled strength. Unfortunately, he peacefully passed away on Saturday, July 17th in the presence of his family.

He is survived by his wife Diana, two sons, Brady(wife Lauren) and Brian(wife Ann); two sisters, Aleene Abbey and Faye Sewell; and four grandchildren, Carter; Ryan; Dillan; and Tiffany.

The Mass will be held at the Co-Catheral of St. Thomas More, 900 West Tennessee Street, Tallahassee, Florida 32304 on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 11:00am EST.
