Mrs Anna B. Cabell Raley passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Village of Lebanon Nursing Center at the age of 94. She was born February 10, 1918 to Joe and Hester Gribbins Cabell, who pre-decease her, as well as her husband; Ervin Raley, two-grandchildren; Elizabeth Yaste and Russell Begley, one brother; Dan Cabell, two half-brothers; Denny Cabell and Bert Gamble, and sons-in-law; Andrew Owen and Joe Buckman.
She was a long time employee of George's Dept. Store and, for many years after her retirement, a faithful volunteer at Cedars of Lebanon Nursing Home with the Sing-Along Singers.
She was a loving mother to five daughters who survive her; Mary Ann (Lowell) McCollum of Berea, Barbara (Jackie) Yaste of Lexington, and Amelia Owen, Ginger Buckman, and Linda (Merle) Begley, all of Lebanon. Survivors also include thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, a niece; Debbie Cabell Spalding, and a nephew; Danny Cabell also survives along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at the United Presbyterian Church on Main Street in Lebanon, with burial in Ryder Cemetery. Family requests visitation after 4:00 PM on Monday at the Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the United Presbyterian Church of Lebanon.
