Billy Conway Lanham, age 78 of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the University of Louisville Hospital after an illness. He was born August 2, 1934 to the late Leslie and Sybil Graham Lanham. Billy served in the Navy, was an employee of the A& P store and Foodtown, and was also a deacon at Lebanon Baptist church. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother; Garnet Lanham, and two great-grandchildren; Joshua Camden Smith and Lex Ivan Votaw.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years; Shirley Peavy Lanham of Lebanon,one sister; Geneva Cox of Michigan, four daughters; JoAnna (Frank) Donahue and Tracy Lucas of Lebanon, Donna (Tim) McQueary of Loretto, and Beth Wayne of Raywick, eleven grandchildren; Leslie (Joey) Wheatley, Chris Lanham, Ashley Howard, Megan (Brandon) Jennings, Joe Michael (Jackie) Votaw, Heather Smith, Amy Votaw, Kayla(J.D.) Hoeck, Mallory Howard, James Buster, and C.J. Wayne, ten great-grandchildren, and special relatives; Penny Peavy, JoAnna Peavy, and Thomas Peavy also survive along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Billy Conway Lanham will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, March 15, 2013 at the Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in the Lebanon National cemetery. The family requests visitation after 5 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
