Nora Evelyn Scott Cochran, age 85 of Lebanon, died Monday, July 22, 2013 at her residence after an illness. She was born June 23, 1928 in Cloverdale, Indiana, to the late Ralph Glenwood Scott and Elma Shuler Scott. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Edward Cochran; two sons, Ronald l. Cochran and Michael Rouse; one brother, James K. Scott,; and one sister, Leona Grace.
Nora was a retired hand quilter, and one of her greatest accomplishments was the sacrifices she made for her children in her lifetime.
She is survived by six daughters, Pam O'Daniel of Lebanon, Cindy Chastain of Paragon, Indiana, Marilyn Kase of Plainfield, Indiana, Elaine Linville of Sheridan, Indiana, Medidy Johnson of Illinois, and Becky Rickard of Florida; and one sister, Frances Ann Curly of Mooresville, Indiana also survives along with a host of other relatives and friends.
The family chose cremation. Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
