Mattie Bernice Brown Douglas Moore, age 79, of Marion County, died Monday, December 1, 2014 at Cedars of Lebanon Nursing Home. She was born March 2, 935 to the late John and Beatrice Gunn Bell. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Isaacs Douglas; one son, William Douglas; three daughters, Doris, Joyce, and Beatrice Douglas; and two brothers, J.B. and George Brown.
She is survived by her husband; Norman Moore of Lebanon, two sons and daughter-in-law; Henry Isaac Douglas Jr. of Springfield and Raymond (Frances) Douglas of Lebanon, four daughters and son-in-laws; Mary Elizabeth Douglas of Lebanon, Roberta Ann (William) Hagan of Danville, Janette (Melvin) Porter of Campbellsville and Wanda Douglas of Lexington, a very special sister-in-law; Josephine Knuckles, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren also survive along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Services for Mrs. Mattie Moore were conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 5, 2014 at Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in the Lebanon National Cemetery. Pastor Dale Smith, Sister Josie Knuckles, and Rev. Elder Johnson officiated.
Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
