Wheeler, age 72 of Marion County, died Saturday, February 8, 2015 at Gentiva Center in Columbus, Georgia.
Milton Wheeler was the son of the late Sam Wheeler and Zella Taylor Wheeler and step-father; Coleman Edwards, also preceding him in death was three brothers; Gilbert Wheeler, J.R. Pitman and William Pittman and three sisters; Jewel Darlene Lindsey, Emeline Brock and Patty Hafley.
Milton was a retired school teacher and farmer; he served his country in the US Army and was a loving father and friend to many.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Eddie (Terri) Lindsey, two daughters and son-in-laws; Betty (Gary) Tungate and Louann (Ed) Orberson, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, all of Gravel Switch, four brothers; Melvin Wheeler of Ind., Charlie Wheeler of Ill., Ruel Wheeler of Gravel Switch and Gary Wheeler of the Philippines.
Services for Mr. Milton Wheeler were conducted 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in the Haysville Cemetery.
He was honored for his Military services by the Marion County Honor Guard and Patriot Guard.
Pallbearers: Gil Wheeler, Kevin Wheeler, Mickey Cooley, Brandon Orberson, Alex Leer and Rusty Chesser.
