Jerry Lee Tungate, 74 of Bradfordsville, died Sunday, February 7, 2016 at his residence.
He was born May 14, 1941 to the late Oscar and Mary Louise Rakes Tungate. He was a Kentucky Colonel.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers; Hugh Tungate, Gary Tungate, Donald Tungate, and Billy Tungate.
He is survived by his wife; Rita Rhodes Tungate of Bradfordsville, three sons; Adam (June) Tungate and Shawn (Tracy) Tungate all of Bradfordsville, and Lee (Vera) Tungate of Florida, one daughter; Jeri "Rabbit" (Greg) Clarkson of Bradfordsville, two brothers; Joseph D. (Rebecca) Tungate of Lebanon and Rue Allen (Gloria) Tungate of Illinois, two sisters; Judy Leckrone of Springfield and Nancy Brewster of Missouri, nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren also survive along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Jerry Lee Tungate were held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the Bradfordsville Performing Arts Center with burial in the Old Liberty Cemetery. Bro. Herbie Goff officiated.
Pallbearers were Ross Rhodes, Carl Rhodes, Wayne Rhodes, Lyle Rhodes, Ivan Rhodes, and Brian Meachum.
Honorary pallbearers were his grandchildren.
Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
