Charles A. Craig Sr., age 86 of Lebanon, died Friday, October 28, 2016 in Louisville after an illness. He was born September 2, 1930 to the late Charles Alonzo Craig and Zora Christine Newcome Craig. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Ann Leake; and two grandchildren, Jessica Lori Craig and Charles Byron Craig. He was a retired truck driver for Barton's Distillery.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Martin Craig of Lebanon; three sons, Charles "Chuck" Craig Jr., John B. (Lu Ann) Craig, and Joe Mark (Jackie) Craig, and two daughters, Mary Ann (Tim) Mattingly and Grace Hill (Stuart) Mattingly all of Lebanon; five sisters, Betty Jean Abell, Alma Wise, Rita Higdon, and Jewell Faye Williams all of Lebanon and Wanda Lay of Louisville; sixteen grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren also survive along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass for Charles A. Craig Sr. will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family requests visitation after 5 PM on Tuesday at Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home. .
