Nancy Carrie Gangwere King, age 83 of Lebanon, died Friday, February 3, 2017 at the Cedars of Lebanon Nursing Home. She was born November 2, 1933 to the late Sherbie Gangwere Sr. and Thelma Tubbs. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons; Richard King and Michael King.
In 1953 Nancy served in the U.S. Navy as an Electronic Tech. She was a member of the First Christian Church, and had several hobbies and interests, including gardening, stain glass, fossil rocks, wood carving, carousel horses, tutoring Japanese families, and white water rafting.
She is survived by three sons; Eric King and Sherbie King both of Lebannon, and Eddie king of monks Corner, SC., one daughter; Roxanne McClain of Nashville, TN., one sister; Judith Gangwere of Fort Worth, TX., eighteen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren also survive along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Nancy King will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in the Lebanon National Cemetery.
The family requests visitation after 4 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
