Mrs. Anita Leon McClure age 88, of Mt.Vernon died Friday November 27, 2009 at her
home. She was born on September 26, 1921 in Rockcastle County the daughter of the late
John and Mollie Hamm Albright. She was a homemaker, enjoyed quilting,
gardening, spending time with her family, and was a member of the Freedom Baptist
Church.
Survivors are: four sons; James (Roberta) and David (Beverly) McClure all of
Mt.Vernon, Ralph (Joann) McClure, and Mike McClure of Somerset, KY,. Four
daughters; Jewell (Larry) Kidwell of Lexington, KY, Elaine (James) Murphy of
Mt.Vernon, Frances McClure of Brodhead, and Pauline (George) Coleman of Mt.Vernon.
Two brothers; Alex Albright of Brodhead, and P.D. Albright of Paris, KY. Three sisters;
Mary Harper, and Dawn Brock both of Brodhead, and Hazel Smiley of Stanton, VA. 15
grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 4 step-great grandchildren also survive. She
was preceded in death by: her husband Grover McClure, by one son; Grover McClure,
Jr., by one daughter; Pearl Smith, by three brothers; Jay, Lloyd “Pooner”, and Everett
Albright, by two sisters; Faye White, and Edith Nicely, and by one grandchild.
