Mr. Charles Bennett Hasty age 65, of Mt.Vernon died Friday December 11, 2009 at the

St. Joseph East Hospital in Lexington. He was born on April 8, 1944 in Rockcastle

County the son of the late Cecil and Mattie Hurd Hasty. He was a retired assemblymen

for General Motors Company, enjoyed playing bingo, checkers, chess, fishing, U.K.

Basketball, and was a member of the Calloway Holiness Church.

Survivors are: his wife; Mrs. Mary Moore Hasty of Mt.Vernon. One step-son;

Scott Decker and wife Carol of Mt.Vernon. Three daughters; Lucy Good of Aurora, Ind.,

Donna Manuel of Batavia, Ohio, and Angela Bailey of Villa Hills, KY. One

step-daughter; Kimberly Lovell of Mt.Vernon. One brother; Carl Dean Hasty of

Mt.Vernon. Eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, and

three step-great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by: one sister;

Carolyn Hasty.
