Mrs. Gladys M. Adams age 88, of Brodhead died Saturday April 24, 2010 at her home.

She was born on November 23, 1921 in Rockcastle County the daughter of the late

Richard and Effie Gaylor Shivel. A homemaker and accomplished seamstress, she

enjoyed needle work, gardening, reading, and was a member of the Sunrise Baptist

Church.

Survivors are: one son; Donald Adams (Stellene) of Nancy, KY. Three daughters;

Mrs. Judy Cash (Paul) of Trenton, OH, Mrs. Betty Purcell (Rodney) of Brodhead, and

Mrs. Karen Dutton (Richard) of Lexington. Eight grandchildren, and six great

grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death

by: her husband; Ray J.A. Adams, and her brothers, and sisters.
