Franklin "Tom" Bryant of the Jacksfork Community, Rockholds, Kentucky departed this life on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at his home. He was 74 years, 1 month, and 8 days of age. He was born on August 22, 1938 in Whitley County, Kentucky to the late Lawrence Bryant and Polly (Vanderpool) Bryant. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Sheila Rae Bryant; one brother, McKinley "Bud" Bryant; and two sisters, Helen Morelock and Fannie Greene. He was the founder of Bryant Cemetery at Jacksfork.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Hunter) Bryant of Rockholds, Kentucky; one daughter, Gloria Fritts(David) of Rockholds, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Jessica Rae Davis(Christopher) of Williamsburg, Kentucky and Cassandra Elaine Fritts of Rockholds, Kentucky; three sisters, Mickie Walker of Jellico, Tennessee, Velma Shootman (Don) of Pine Knot, Kentucky and Louise "Mert" Lovitt of Rockholds, Kentucky; three brothers, Raymond "Buss" Bryant (Dorothy), Don Bryant (Janie) and Bill Bryant, all of the Jacksfork Community, Rockholds, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
The Funeral Service will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Sutton officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Bryant Cemetery at Jacksfork. Charles Hunter, Stacy Bryant, Jeremy Bryant, Bobby Grubb and Anthony Bryant will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Walter "Preach" Davis and Roy "Bunny" Hunter.
