Sam Carr of Sycamore Street, Williamsburg, Kentucky departed this life on Monday, March 31, 2014 at Baptist Health in Corbin, Kentucky. He was 58 years, 10 months and 19 days of age. He was born on May 12, 1955 in Jellico, Tennessee to the late Virgil Lee Carr and Iverjean Perkins. He was a member of Emlyn Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sue Carr of Williamsburg, Kentucky; mother, Iverjean Perkins Carr of Williamsburg, Kentucky; sister, Wilma Ann Ridge of Tyler, Texas; three sister-in-laws, Doris Creekmore (Wayne) of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Joan Privett (Ronnie) of McCreary Co., Kentucky, and June Richardson of Revelo, Kentucky; one brother-in-law, Bobby Duncan (Regina) of Pine Knot, Kentucky; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
The Funeral Service will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Virgil Ball and Rev. Ronnie Bowman officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Carr Cemetery at Yaden.
Pallbearers: Larry Hamblin, Joe Singleton, Ron Harmon, Adam Jones, Alex Wilson, and Donnie Wilson.
