Nora Lou Bradfield, of Fayetteville, North Carolina (formerly of Williamsburg. Kentucky) departed this life on Monday, July 14, 2014 at Cape Fear Medical Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She was 83 years, 5 months and 15 days of age. She was born on January 29, 1931 in Whitley County, Kentucky to the late Homer Phillips and Lucretia (Moses) Phillips. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Clovis Whited. Nora loved her family. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Lucretia Merical (Gary Thorpe) of Fayetteville, North Carolina; her son, Ronald Whited (Paula Whited) of Allen, Texas; three granddaughters, Tracie Sims, Alisha Hoffman and Kristen Whited; two great grandchildren, Marshall Sims and Seth Sims; one brother, Henry Phillips and his wife Ladon of Detroit, Michigan; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Visitation will after 6:00 P.M. Friday, July 18, 2014 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Carpenter officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Oaklawn Cemetery at Pleasant View.
