Osa King Broyles Brown passed away January 20, 2015. She was born in Williamsburg, Kentucky on May 4, 1915 being 99 years and 8 months of age. Osa was the fourth child of the late Frank King and Maude Adkins King. She was also preceded in death by her husband's Clarence (Buster) Broyles of Rockholds and Roy Brown of Oxford, Florida; four sisters, Alma Rains, Elsie Eldred, Sada Siler, and Jean Baxter; and one brother, Clyde King. She joined the Rockholds Methodist Church at a very young age and attended Rockholds Methodist Church most of her life. She was a member of the Williamsburg Business and Professional Women's Club. She was a lifetime member of Oak Ridge Tennessee AMVETS Auxiliary and a Kentucky Colonel.

She worked with the Whitley County Health Department for four years and was working with them when the new health department was built on 2nd Street in Williamsburg. She worked for the Whitley County Board of Education, in the office of the Superintendent for 27 years.

Survivors are her two sons Charles Elbridge Broyles and wife Mary Baker of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Ronald Joe Broyles and wife Phyllis Alsip Broyles of Williamsburg, Kentucky; one granddaughter, Debra Cothran and husband Roy of Chattanooga, Tennessee; two grandsons, Barry Broyles and wife Sandy of Bogart, Georgia and David Broyles and wife Jeannie of Williamsburg, Kentucky; eight great grandchildren, Rachel Broyles of Athens, Georgia, Kelly Broyles of Valdosta, Georgia, Audra, Jared, and Nichole Cothran of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Zachary, Tanner, and Madison Broyles of Williamsburg, Kentucky; three great great grandsons, Sam, Trey, and Will Elkins of Chattanooga, Tennessee; one sister, Ruby Jones of Woodstock, Georgia; one brother, John (Jack) King of The Villages, Florida; one brother-in-law, Earl Siler of Williamsburg, Kentucky; three step-children Eileen Race of Winter Haven, Florida, Larry Brown of Oxford, Florida, and Ronald Brown of Lady Lake Florida; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; several very special nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Sunday, January 25, 2015 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Floyd officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Broyles Cemetery, Rockholds, Kentucky.
