Walter Earl Cooper, age 71, of Tyes Ferry Road, Rockholds, Kentucky passed away on June 15, 2015 at his home. He was born on December 10, 1943 in Williamsburg, Kentucky to the late Elmer and Mable (Snell) Cooper. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Jack Snell, Don Cooper, and Bill Cooper. He was an Engineer for CSX Transportation, Corbin, Kentucky and a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotives and Engineers.

He is survived by a daughter, Kelli Rae Bryant and husband Bobby of Lake Nona, Florida; two sons, Jeff Cooper and wife Malorie of Rockholds, Kentucky and Scott Cooper of Corbin, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Cecelia Bryant, Amelia Bryant, Kade Bryant, Emma Grace Cooper, and Isaac Cooper; two sisters, Frances Early of Independence, Kentucky and Cindy Cooper of Cartersville, Georgia; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until the funeral hour on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.

The Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Sunday, June 21, 2015 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Mullins officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Croley Addition of Highland Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Whitley County Track and Field.
