James Michael Bowling, 66, of Fairview, Kentucky passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 at his home with his wife and daughter by his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. G.S. "Zeb" and Dorothy Bowling, brother-in-law Steve Crosman and father-in-law and mother-in-law, G.L. and Edna Grace Fredericks.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Alice Jean Bowling, daughter Jamie Michelle Freeman (Marshall); grandchildren, Asher James Freeman and Adeline Grace Freeman.
Sister, Theresa Crosman of Williamsburg; Brothers, Garry Bowling (Rhonda) of Taylorsville, Kentucky, Phillip Bowling (Sheila) of Williamsburg; nieces and nephews, Jill Bowling, Elise Johnstone, Stephanie Shelton, Michael Bowling, Brian Bowling and Andy Johnstone; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sandra and John Johnstone; and a host of other relatives and friends who will always remember him.
Jim, a faithful member and deacon of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church, trusted in the Lord with all his heart. He truly fought a good fight, kept the faith and looked forward to going home to be with the Lord. He served in the United States Army Reserves.
Visitation will be from 12 Noon until the funeral hour on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Marshall Clay Freeman and Rev. Ron Wilson officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Lot Cemetery on Mud Creek.
