Dorthy Geneva Baker, age 82, of Baker Cemetery Road, Williamsburg, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at the Jellico Community Hospital in Jellico, Tennessee. She was born on January 24, 1934 in Whitley County, Kentucky to the late David Pleas "Cotton" Cox and Margaret Emaline (Paul) Cox. She was also preceded in death by a son, Billy Gene Baker. She was a member of Patterson Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by husband, Walter Baker Jr. of Williamsburg, Kentucky; three children, Debra Kay Grubb and husband Harvey of Barbourville, Kentucky, Jerry Dean Baker and wife Anita of Williamsburg, Kentucky and Tony Joe Baker and wife Melinda of Williamsburg, Kentucky; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jessie Smith and husband James and Gladys Marie Thomas of Williamsburg, Kentucky; one brother, Claude Cecil Cox and Wife Alma; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Croley Funeral Home.
The Funeral Service will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, April 28, 2016 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Anthony Reaves and Rev. Gary Lovitt officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Baker Cemetery.
