Harold Childress, age 67, of Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital East in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born on October 30, 1948 in Jellico, Tennessee to the late Grant Childress and Retha Ella (Hudson) Childress. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Angie Sebastian; brothers, J.D. Childress, Robert Curtis Childress, Earl Childress, Raymond Childress and Paul Childress and a sister, Carolyn Safriet. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the AM VET Post and the American Legion Post #88 of Corbin.
He is survived by his son, Robert Curtis Childress (Lesley) of Richmond, Kentucky; grandchildren, Zachary Sebastian of Colorado, Ellison Sebastian of Louisville, Kentucky, Morgan Childress of Richmond, Kentucky, Grant Childress of Georgetown, Kentucky and Ryley Thompson of Richmond, Kentucky; a sister, Joyce Byrd (Ken) of Williamsburg; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. August 19, 2016 at Croley Funeral Home.
The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Sester officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Highland Cemetery following Military Graveside Honors. Zack Sebastian, Ryley Thompson, Jake Guthrie, Jason Goodin, Heath Logue, and Joel Marcum will serve as pallbearers.
