Mary Hancock, age 92, of Mousie, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010 at the Knott County Nursing Home at Hindman, Kentucky. She was born on January 23, 1918 to Dave Allen and Dora Shepherd Allen. She is survived by brothers: Bill Allen and Delmar Allen; sister: Jane Bentley; grandchildren: Jerry Lee Black, Teresa Lee Huff, Debbie Lee Grant, Janet Lee Rogne and Becky Lee Black; 7 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: George Hancock; daughter: Revia Black; sisters: Hazel Music and Myrtle Brown. Funeral services will be 1PM, Sunday, July 18, 2010 at the Hindman Funeral Services Chapel with Clyde "Bud" Wicker Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Claude Prater Cemetery at Hueysville, Kentucky. Friends may call for visitation at the chapel, Saturday from 6-9PM.
