James “Buddy” Edward Murphy

James “Buddy” Edward Murphy, age 76 of Fairdale, in Jefferson County, died Wednesday, at Golden Living Center in Mt. Holly after an illness.

He was the son of the late Joseph Bernard and Edna Roselee Link Murphy. He was a member of Valley View Baptist Church.

He is survived by two brothers and their spouses, Joseph & Suzy Murphy of Brooks, and Shelby & Mary Murphy of Louisville, four sisters and spouses, Frances & Royce Armstrong of Bullitt County, Beulah & Jackie Pauley, Ella & John Schmittler all of Fairdale, and Mary & John Sander of Harrison County, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the Schoppenhorst, Underwood, Brooks Funeral Home of Louisville with burial in the Zion Cemetery. Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
