C. L. “Buddy” Newton, age 86, of Shawnee Drive, Campbellsville, died Saturday

September 19, 2009 at Medco Nursing Center after an illness. He was retired licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer for over 59 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

He was the son of the late Clarence Elmer and Maude Bumgarner Newton. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marion Tucker Newton on June 17, 2005, his brother and sisters, Bernard Newton, Kathleen Sandusky and Lola Nell Bertram.

He is survived by his children and their spouses, Richard Craig and Gayle Newton of Campbellsville, Patricia Lynn and Joe Glasser of Louisville, and Kathy and Steve Douglass of Indiana, six grandchildren, Meg Glasser, Christopher Glasser, Matthew Glasser, Emily Norton, Patrick Newton and Drew Newton.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11AM, Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with burial in Brookside Cemetery.
