Goldie Rosemary McElroy, 70, of Crescent Hill Manor, died Thursday, October 15, 2009, at Taylor Regional Hospital after an illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles Guy and Pauline Wagner Holmes, and one step-son Tommy Lee McElroy of Indiana. She was a faithful member of Victory Tabernacle and a housewife.

She is survived by her husband Thomas McElroy, one daughter Loria Miller of Indiana, two step-daughters Betty Jean Crain of Indiana and Sandra Real of Tennessee, two brothers William Holmes of Indiana, and Walter Holmes of Tennessee, four sisters Betty Berryhill of Alabama, Sandra Sue Marrs of Tennessee, Mary Ruth Lee of Tennessee, and Myrtle May Egge of Indiana, 2 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, several step-great grandchildren, foster family Steve and Charlotte Leroy of Campbellsville and their children Michael, Stephanie and Julia Leroy, caretakers Linda and Junior Cundiff of Campbellsville, special friend Cleo Shofner.

Funeral Services will be conducted 2 PM Sunday, October 18, 2009 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in Brookside Cemetery.

Family requests visitation 5-8 PM Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home.
