Hazel Walters 86

Hazel Walters, age 86, of Campbellsville, died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Medco Nursing Home after an illness.

She was the daughter of the late Turner and Girtie Mardis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry Walters, three brothers, Arle Mardis, Carl Mardis, and Harden Mardis and two sisters, Mabel Smith and Viola Smith.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law Gary and Denise Walters of Campbellsville, one daughter and son-in-law Carolyn and Larry Mardis of Campbellsville, five grandchildren James Thomas Mardis, Jeffrey Wayne Mardis, Scott LaRame Mardis, Shannon O’Banion, and Jesse Hunter Walters, and one great-grandchild Landon Thomas O’Banion, two sisters Helen Rogers of Campbellsville and Lena Arnold of Elizabethtown.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM, Friday, November 13, 2009 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
