Mrs. Aldene Hacker “Polly” Harris age 72, of Brodhead, Kentucky passed away on February 26, 2011 at the Rockcastle Health and Rehabilitation Center in Brodhead.
Polly entered this life on June 13, 1938 in Lincoln County, Kentucky the daughter of Alfred and Sadie Wrenn Hacker, both of whom preceded her in death. She was united in marriage on February 28, 1957 to Raymond Harris and to this union came three children to richly bless their home. Polly was a farmer and a homemaker and spent her days loving and caring for her family. She was a member of the Church of Christ and will be remembered for her love of flowers and gardening.
Polly will be lovingly remembered by her four children: Barbara Estes and her husband Alfred of Beattyville, Kentucky, Shirley Maples and her husband Frank of Brodhead, Kentucky, Earna Volk of Lebanon, Kentucky, and Randall Lee Harris of Brodhead, Kentucky; two grandchildren: Matthew Frank Maples and Billy Ray Bowling; two brothers: Hershel Hacker and his wife Emma of North Carolina and Virgil Hacker and his wife Priscilla of North Carolina; one sister: Sonya Register and her husband Bill of North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
She is preceded in death by her son: Billy Ray Harris; her husband: Raymond Harris; her parents: Alfred and Sadie Wrenn Hacker; two brothers: Jack and George Hacker; and two sisters: “Duzie” Dunn,Della Hiatt & Marie Hacker Hiatt.
Funeral services for Mrs. Polly Harris will be conducted on Sun. Feb. 27, 2011 at 2PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Rick Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in the Ottawa Cemetery.
Visitation for Mrs. Polly Harris will be held on Sun. Feb. 27, 2011 from 11AM-2PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.
