Mrs. Preda Wilma Cash Shepherd, age 78, of Brodhead, Kentucky; passed away Friday, April 1, 2011 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

Preda entered this life on May 28, 1932 in Brodhead, Kentucky the daughter of Arch and Artie Payne Cash, both of whom preceded her in death. She was united in marriage to Edward Shepherd, and they shared a wonderful life together. Preda was a retired air craft engine inspector at General Electric, where she worked for 25 years. She will be remembered by her friends and family for her love of Elvis, Coke Cola, sewing, and her dog, JoJo. She was a member of the Piney Grove Cemetery Board, Brodhead Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and the Brodhead Baptist Church.

Preda will lovingly be remembered by her husband Edward Shepherd of Brodhead, Kentucky; three children: Frankie Lee Bradley and wife Pat of Brodhead, Kentucky, Kathy Tomblin and husband Sam of Gulf Breeze, Florida and Bill Bradley and wife Debbie of Berea, Kentucky; five step children: Dian Ottinger of Liberty, Kentucky, Debbie Vencent and her husband Chuck of Atlanta, Indiana, Brenda Buck and her husband Ricky of Liberty, Kentucky, Vickie Shepherd of Liberty, Kentucky, and Eddie Shepherd and his wife Jackie of Morrow, Ohio; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; four brothers: Eddie Cash and wife Mary Nevel of Brodhead, Kentucky, Vernon Cash of Brodhead, Kentucky, Walter Lee Cash and wife Christeen of Brodhead, Kentucky and Paul Ray Cash and wife Judy of Trenton, Ohio; three sisters; Viola “Sissy” Houston of Brodhead, Kentucky, Shelby Abney and husband Gordon of Brodhead, Kentucky and Ethylene Cash of Brodhead, Kentucky; one sister in law: Jean Cash of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Preda is preceded in death by her parents: Arch and Artie Payne Cash; one brother: Lloyd Cash, two sisters: Anna Elizabeth Cash and Melberta Cash Robbins and a brother in law: Jim Houston.

Funeral services for Mrs. Preda Shepherd will be conducted on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at 3:00 PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Mark Whicker officiating. Interment will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery.

Visitation for Mrs. Preda Shepherd will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011 from 6-9pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.
