Mrs. Nancy Irene Albright Brown, age 82 of Woodstock, Kentucky passed away Monday August 15, 2011 at her residence.

Mrs. Brown was born on August 25, 1928 in Woodstock, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Luther Ernest and Sarah Ann Gill Albright. On July 30, 1955 she was united in marriage to Walter Brown, Jr. and from that union came one child Eugene Brown. She was a retired press operator at Palm Beach in Somerset, Kentucky, enjoyed gardening and working, and was a member of the Woodstock Baptist Church.

Mrs. Brown is survived by one son: Eugene “Shorty” Brown of Woodstock, Kentucky; Three sisters: Mary Agnes Albright Blankenship (Lowell) of Woodstock, Kentucky, Madge Lucille Albright Eaton (Willard) of Eubank, Kentucky, and Nellie Mae “John” Albright of Woodstock, Kentucky;

Mrs. Brown is preceded in death by her husband Walter Brown, Jr. who passed away on December 15, 1981; Seven brothers: Edgar Carroll “Lark” Albright, Victor Lloyd Albright, Clifford Ross “Preacher” Albright, Dewey Rufford “Yeller” Albright, Clayton Ward Albright, Paul Reno Albright and Donald Quenton “Donnie” Albright; and one sister: Ellen Jenetta Albright.

Funeral services for Mrs. Irene Brown will be conducted on Thursday August 18, 2011 at 1 PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Jim Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodstock Cemetery.

Visitation for Mrs. Irene Brown will be held on Thursday August 18, 2011 from 12 Noon until time of service at 1 PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.
