Mr. Donnie Ray Mink, age 75, of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky passed away Monday, August 29th, 2011 at the Pattie A. Clay Regional Medical Center in Richmond, Kentucky.

Donnie was born on May 4, 1936 in East Bernstadt, Kentucky; a son of the late James Asa and Ruby Lee Mink. On September 12, 1958 he was married to Joyce Wallin and from that union came two children, Tracey and Trevor. Donnie was a four year veteran of the United States Air Force having served as Airman First Class. He was a self-employed diesel and auto mechanic, a member of the Bassmasters, enjoyed fishing and his grandchildren, and enthusiastically accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior recently.

Donnie is survived by his wife: Joyce Mink of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky; Two children: Trevor Mink (Suzanne) of Lawrenceville,Georgia and Tracey Turpin (Othel) of Somerset, Kentucky; One sister: Pauline Waddles (Paul) of Somerset, Kentucky; Three Grandchildren: Lexie Turpin, Ashlyn Mink and Austin Mink; Two Step-Grandchildren: O.J. Turpin and Kristi Norwood; Two Step-Great Grandchildren: Reagan Dulaney and Laykin Dulaney, Three Sister-In-Laws: Betty Ann Whitaker (Billy) of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, Rosella Wallin (Glenn) of Berea, Kentucky and Vonie Mink of Livingston, Kentucky, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents, Donnie is preceded in death by two brothers: James William Mink and Robert Jerry Mink.

Funeral services for Mr. Donnie Mink will be conducted on Friday, September 2nd, 2011 at 11 A.M. at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals Chapel with Bro. David Sargent officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery.

Visitation for Mr. Donnie Mink will be held on Thursday, September 1st, 2011 from 6-9 P.M. at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.
