Mr. William “Earl” Chasteen, age 76, husband of Ethel of Richmond, KY passed away on Thursday, March 1st, 2012 at the Compassionate Care Center of Richmond, KY.
Earl was born on January 18th, 1936 in Cartersville, KY a son of the late William Elden and Loretta Brooks Chasteen. On February 14th, 1974 he married Ethel Graham. He was a long time employee of Faultner & Fain Company in Nicholasville, KY, and his interests included: yard sales, wood working, fishing and collecting quarters. He was a member of the Holiness faith.
Earl is survived by: his wife of 37 years, Ethel Graham Chasteen of Richmond, KY; six sisters: Betty Eldridge (Ellis) of Copper Creek, KY, Etta Rogers of Berea, KY, Sue Baker of Copper Creek, KY, Jean Simpson of Copper Creek, KY, Linda Roberts (Mike) of Cartersville, KY and Cora Callahan (Mike) of Copper Creek, KY; one brother, Ray Chasteen (Phyllis) of London, KY; two brother-in-laws: Earl Graham of Lancaster, KY and Ronald Graham of Nicholasville, KY and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Besides his parents, Earl is preceded in death by one brother, James Chasteen.
The visitation for Mr. William “Earl” Chasteen will be on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 6 P.M. at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals chapel.
Funeral services for Mr. William “Earl” Chasteen will be on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 1 P.M. at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals chapel with Bro. Ralph Chasteen officiating. Burial will follow in Madison Memorial Gardens in Richmond, KY. Casket bearers will include: Dewayne Simpson, Tommy Schuler, Glen and Derek Adams and Dale and Jeff Rogers.
