Mrs. Josephine Adams, age 73, wife of Kenneth of Brindle Ridge passed away Monday, April 23, 2012 at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital.
She was born Feb. 8, 1939 in Red Hill, Ky., a daughter of the late Gilbert and Bessie Abney Smith. She was a member of Brindle Ridge Baptist Church and was a 27 year employee of the Rockcastle County School System, having worked at Roundstone Elementary School. She was a member of Womens Auxillary of the Brindle Ridge Fire Department. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed church activities, reading, gardening, flowers and bird watching. On May 31, 1957 she was united in holy matrimony to Kenneth Adams, and from that union came two children-Kenneth Douglas and Lavada Jo.
Those left to mourn her passing include her husband of 54 years, Kenneth Adams of Brindle Ridge, KY; her son-Kenneth Douglas (Jayne) of Upton, KY and her daughter-Lavada Jo Adams of Brindle Ridge, KY. Two grandchildren- Matthew & Kathryn Adams. A brother-Welcie (Louise) Smith of Morrow, OH. A sister-Myrtle McKinney of Livingston, KY, as well as a host of nieces/nephews friends and neighbors.
Visitation for Mrs. Josephine Adams will be Wed.April 25,2012 at 6PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals and Thurs. April 26, 2012 from 11AM-1PM at the Brindle Ridge Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted Thurs. April 26, 2012 at 1PM at Brindle Ridge Baptist Church with Bros. Ron Roberts and Randal Adams officiating; burial will follow in the Saylor Cemetery.
