Mr. John B. Glovak III, age 46, of Brodhead, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at the Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville.
John entered into this life on March 10, 1966 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, the son of John B. Glovak, Jr. and Betty Ann Newland Glovak. John bravely served his country during the Persian Gulf War in the United States Navy, rising to the rank of E5. He was a carpenter and a member of the Brodhead Christian Church and the Carpenters Union. John will be remembered for his love of hunting and golf and for spending time with his dad and family.
John will be lovingly remembered by his parents: John B. Glovak, Jr. and his wife Linda of Salyersville, Kentucky and Betty Ann Newland Glovak of Brodhead, Kentucky; two sisters: Theresa Davis and her husband Mark of Crab Orchard, Kentucky and Lora Mullins and her husband Russ of Eubank, Kentucky; two uncles: Johnny Newland and Frank Glovak and his wife Janet; his aunt: Theresa Shaffer and her husband George; his niece: Rachel Davis; three nephews: John Davis and his wife Shannda, Robert Davis and Lucas Mullins; his girlfriend: Marlene Holbrook and a host of friends and neighbors.
Funeral services for Mr. John B. Glovak III will be conducted on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 12pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Kenton Parkey officiating. Interment will follow in the Sayers Cemetery with full military rites from DAV #158 of Keavy.
Visitation for Mr. John B. Glovak III will be held on Monday, May 28, 2012 from 6-9pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.
Casket bearers will be: Roger Isaacs, Steve Childers, Chris Newland, Jim Clouse, David Glovak and John Mark Davis. Honorary casket bearers will be: Russ Mullins, Mark Davis, Mike Appleman and Brooks Bellows.
