Lelyn Bland Jones Turner, 61, Shelbyville and formerly of the Montclair neighborhood in Simpsonville, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Kindred Hospital following an extended illness. A native of Shelby County, she was the daughter of the late Eva Hughes and Bland Ballard Jones, Jr. She was a day worker and had worked for Ray and Claudia Stivers, Steve and Donna Miller and most recently, for Jancon. She was a member of the Honeycomb Club and a member of the Elk Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Michelle Turner of Simpsonville and Leatricia (Larry) White of Shelbyville; five sons, Charles William Turner, Jr., Robin Beach, Raymond Beach, Corey Beach and Shawn Beach, all of Shelbyville; one sister, Edwina (Ernest) Cochran of Shelbyville; two brothers, Larry (Zenda) Jones and Donald (Gwen) Jones, both of Shelbyville; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
