Catherine Jennings Dees, 83 died Thursday in Shelbyville. She was a member of Shelbyville First Baptist Church. She retired after 38 years with the Shelby County School System. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Dees.

She is survived by a daughter, Patti (Eddie) Griffin; son, Curtis "Curty" (Jenny) Dees; and one grandson, Will Dees all of Shelbyville.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 2nd at the Shannon Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M. Sunday, August 31st and from 10 A.M.-9 P.M. Monday, September 1st at the Shannon Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Shelbyville First Baptist Church Van Fund.
