Lorena M. Jones, 81, died Sunday, January 23, 2011 in Louisville. She was a homemaker and a member of the Simpsonville Baptist Church. She graduated valedictorian of her high school class at Cropper School and was a Daughters of the American Revolution Award recipient.

She was preceded in death by her 6 sisters and 1 brother. She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Jones of Simpsonville; her son, David Jones (Margie) of Taylorsville; her daughter, Kitty Jones Brady of Clarksville, IN; and her granddaughter, Stephanie Coleman of Clarksville, IN.

Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Shannon Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Boyd officiating. Visitation: 2-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial: Grove Hill Cemetery.
