Earl Snider, age 79, died Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Jewish Hospital in Shelbyville, Kentucky. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church, a member of Shelby County Antique Car Club, and worked at G.E. for over 35 years.

He was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Earl Snider; daughter, Anna Jean Barrett and step daughter, Sheri Kaye Carey. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Emogene Rice Snider of Shelbyville; two daughters, Deborah Lynn Mobley of Frankfort and Valerie Gwen Armstrong of Taylorsville; three step sons, Terry Wayne Hockensmith of Finchville, Darrell Hockensmith of Shelbyville, and Timothy Shuck of Shelbyville; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 8th at the Shannon Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4-8 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Grove Hill Cemetery.
