Stella Murphy age 84 years a resident of Summit Manor Nursing Home in Columbia and formerly of the Sparksville Community passed away Friday, July 30, 2010 at 8:35 A.M. at the Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, KY after several weeks illness.

She was born September 7, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of the late: Josh and Alma Coomer Wilson of Adair Co. Kentucky

She was preceded in death by her husband: Edwin Murphy on

April 19, 2002

Survived by three sons:

Kenneth Murphy & wife Rebecca of Jeffersontown, KY

James “Bo” Murphy & wife Pam of Columbia, KY

Three daughters:

Dorothy Coomer & husband Earl of Burbank, Illinois

Brenda Loy & husband Raymond of Columbia, KY

Linda Lewis & husband Carson of

One sister: Mary Magdalene Jessie of Columbia, KY

10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren

Mrs. Murphy was a homemaker
