Russell Gardner, age 81, widower of Myra Smith Gardner, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010 at Georgetown Community Hospital. He was born in Scott County, KY on March 16, 1929 to the late Dudley and Nancy Tucker Gardner. He worked for Mallard Pen & Pencil Company for 38 years and was a maintenance supervisor at a horse farm.

He is survived by his children; Stephen Gardner, Franklin County, KY, Carolyn “Babe” Grigsby, Georgetown, KY, Russell Allen “Rusty” Gardner, Versailles, KY, Daniel Lee Gardner, Georgetown, KY, 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife and a daughter, Nancy Ann Gardner Caudill.

Funeral Service is 11 A.M., Wed. June 30, 2010 at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Dean Scott officiating . Burial will be at Georgetown Cemetery with pallbearers being; Richard Gardner, John Gardner, Bobby Grigsby, Billy Grigsby, Cody Grigsby, Sean Cummins, David Jones and Jimmy Jones. Family and friends may visit from 5 to 8 Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at the funeral home.
