Charlie Wilson, age 79, husband of Evelyn Jackson Johnson Wilson, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was the son of the late Phillip and Myrtle Martin Wilson and was born October 24, 1930 in Clay County, Kentucky. He was a retired Truck Driver for the Kroger Company, a member of the Hamersville Pentecostal Church of God and an Army Veteran of the Korean War.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons; Jimmy Wilson of Killeen, TX and Harlan (Wanda) Wilson of Georgetown, KY, grandchildren; Rachel Wilson, Sarah Wilson and Nathan Wilson, all of Georgetown, KY. He is also survived by his brothers; Albert Wilson of Westchester, Ohio, Paul Wilson, Annville, KY, Bobby Ray Wilson of Manchester, KY, sisters; Ollie Hensley, Phyllis Frazier, Ivory Frazier, Carol Frazier, all of Manchester, KY, Eileen Davidson of Batesville, IN and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his first wife Marie Abner Wilson, son, Roger Wilson, brothers, Hubert Wilson, Keen Wilson, and sister, Malvery Allen.

Visitation will be after 6 pm Monday, July 5, 2010 at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, KY and Tuesday, July 6, 2010 from 12 to 2 at Hamersville Pentecostal Church of God, in Hamersville, Ohio. Funeral services will be 2 pm Tues. at the church. Burial will be at Point Isabel Cemetery.
