Marie Warfield, 88, widow of Samuel Taylor Warfield, passed away July 6, 2010. She was born April 6, 1922 in Owen Co., KY to the late William and Ila Shelton Clemons. She was a member of Minorsville Christian Church.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Lloyd Thomas and Mary Warfield of Stamping Ground; grandchildren, Kevin (Jill) Warfield of Stamping Ground and Kristey Warfield of Frankfort; great granddaughter Maggie Ann Warfield; brother, Lew Clemons of Stamping Ground; sister, Polly (Buzz) Wise of Stamping Ground; special nephew and niece, Alfred Clemons and Maxine Hoover; extended family, Ralph, Laura, Elise and Blake Halbrook, and Philip and Jakob Weisenberger. She was preceded in death by a daughter Bonnie Lou Warfield; brothers, Thomas, Alfred Stanley, and Huey Martin Clemons.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice of the Bluegrass Staff and caregiver Debbie Beeler.

Funeral services will be 11am Friday, July 9, 2010 at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Johnson, Bro. Rick Stafford, and David Clark officiating. Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers are: Troy Hoover, Calvin Johnson, Daryl Bailey, Randy Wise, Drew Wise, and Josh Adams. Honorary bearers are Brian Thompson, Orilie B. Wright, Buzz Wise, Scotty Arnold, and the Elders and Deacons of Minorsville Christian Church. Visitation will be 5-8pm Thursday, July 8, 2010 at the funeral home.
