Sara E. Shepard, 77, widow of Eugene Risque Shepard, passed away July 14, 2010 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. She was born January 8, 1933 in Scott County to the late George Kelly Sensabaugh Sr. and Rae Isaac Sensabaugh.

She was a Charter member of Georgetown Church of Christ. She is survived by her children, Kenneth Wayne Shepard (Betty) of Lancaster, Mark Gregory Shepard (Penny) of Georgetown, and Sandra Jeanne Stone (J.R.) of Lexington; grandsons, Brett Hargis, Kelly Shepard (Tara), and Chad Shepard; granddaughters, Whitney Golde (Alex), Shelley Shepard, Holly Shepard, Kaitlyn Shepard, Stephanee Sheets (Lonnie), and Jacqulynn Dyer (Jon); great grandchildren, Baylee Moberly, Peyton Shepard, Luke Golde, Jaylee Dyer, and Zoee Sheets; brother, Lester Sensabaugh (Loretta) of Georgetown; sister, Louise Cohorn of Carlisle; sister-in-laws, Rebecca Smith, Donna Sensabaugh, and Vivian Sensabaugh; brother-in-law, George Tunell and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by son, Gary Dean Shepard; brothers, George Sensabaugh, Donny Sensabaugh, and sister Betty Anne Tunell.

Funeral services will be 2pm Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Hill officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Lexington, with pallbearers being Kelly Shepard, Chad Shepard, Brett Hargis, Mike Cohorn, David Todd, and Alex Golde. Honorary bearers are Larry Pulliam, William C. Smith, and Wendell Holbrook. Visitation will be from 4-8pm Friday at the funeral home.
